WHS Alumna Artwork Selected by NBA to Represent OKC Thunder

WHS 2012 graduate and local artist Taylor Clark has her original artwork on display in New York City in the NBA's Artists Ball Exhibit called "30 Rocks," at Rockefeller Plaza until Oct. 21.

Westmoore High School 2012 graduate and local artist Taylor Clark earned the chance of a lifetime, with her original artwork on display in New York City in the NBA's Artists Ball Exhibit called "30 Rocks," at Rockefeller Plaza. The exhibit celebrates the NBA's return to NBC and runs from Oct. 16 through Oct. 21, which also happens to be the season opener game for the OKC Thunder.

Last October, Clark was selected as one of 10 featured artists for the 2024-2025 OKC Thunder Artist Group. She participated in a private live painting with Professional Basketball Club Chairman Clay Bennett and OKC Thunder Executive VP and CAO Danny Barth.

The NBA and rEvolution Sports Marketing agency and NBC selected thirty artists' designs to represent each of their home teams' cities and basketball culture. Clark's design was selected to represent the Oklahoma City Thunder in their national, interactive installation exhibit and is a part of the NBA Tip-Off Celebration.

According to the NBA's project press release, "The artists’ creations, designed in collaboration with each NBA team, are a one-of-a-kind basketball-themed rock that embody the identity of their team’s city and culture, and that feel authentic to their local community. After the closing of "30 Rocksand the tip-off of the NBA season, each of the 30 rocks will return to its team’s city to have a homecoming and continue driving fan engagement, impact, and excitement for its team."
